How It All Began
Jeff never seriously considered producing art. A bit of a dream, yes, but his work in construction, family responsibilities and the dreaded wave of insecurity always pushed the thought away.
After dabbling as a kid and then in college (mostly in abstract), the paints were put away for years. Then in 2022, it just happened. Years of observation, noticing things through a different lens than most, finding beauty in the simplicity of nature, and the complexity in the mundane all made their way to the canvas.
With acrylics as the go to medium, Jeff blends pour painting, painterly and impressionism techniques into most of his pieces.
Abstract landscapes and images end up being the product started from a blank canvas, very little planning at the on-set, and pure joy during the process.
The journey begins and the result is a piece that leaves the viewer discovering and interpreting the art to their own conclusion.
Rooted In Bend, Oregon
Jeff resides in Bend, Oregon with his wife, Dawn, where they raised their four daughters surrounded by the beauty of Central Oregon. The landscape that framed their family life continues to shape both his daily rhythm and his artistic voice.
An avid outdoorsman, Jeff spends much of his time boating, hunting, and fishing fully immersed in the changing seasons.
That quiet observation carries into his work, influencing how he sees light, movement, and balance.
On his five-acre property, his creativity extends beyond the canvas. He is deeply passionate about landscaping and stewarding the land, refining its natural layout while preserving its organic beauty.
His connection to nature gives his work a rare authenticity that can’t be manufactured. Each piece reflecting movement and stillness, tension and balance, shaped by the land he calls home.
At 55, this second chapter is less about slowing down and more about creating with deeper intention.
